Daedalus Cavers invite you to Steelville, Missouri, October 2-4, for Fall MVOR 2015 A Tribute to Early Missouri Cavers. This will be the MVOR that you do not want to miss- a weekend of fun, fellowship, caving, floating,  some really special VIP guests, and BBQ that is so delicious that  you will want to lick your napkin!

Fall MVOR 2015 will be held at Bird's Nest Lodge a historic retreat that dates back to the 1920's. Nestled among scenic Ozark hills, only 70 miles southwest of St. Louis, BNL offers river front camping on the banks of the upper Meramec River. The lodge also offers rustic cabins, canoe and raft rental, and hot showers.

Guided and self led cave trips will be offered during Fall MVOR 2015. Please follow WNS decontamination procedures. Float trips will be offered. Cave and float combinations will also be available for a true Ozarks experience!

Surface adventures are plentiful in the Steelville/Cuba area. You can fish for feisty small mouth bass, road trip on Route 66, discover the Frisco line and old mine railroad lines, antique in charming towns, visit Trail of Tears sites, follow in the footsteps of Civil War soldiers, go on a trail ride, sample Missouri wines, tour museums, and visit Dillard Mill- a preserved water-powered gristmill on Huzzah Creek. Onondaga Cave, a spectacular show cave, is less than 30 minutes away from BNL.

In the spirit of "cavers giving back to cavers" Daedalus is hosting a FREE banquet Friday night featuring 5 Hour Apple Hickory Smoked Riblettes, Homemade Coleslaw, Homemade Molasses Baked Beans and Bacon, Homemade Apple Butter and bread, and Daedalus Cavers Homemade Wine. Award Winning Holy Grail Winery will host a FREE wine tasting Friday evening- limited commemorative wine glasses will be available for purchase!

Other events and activities include Funnelator Target Range, Saturday Night Banquet (BBQ pork steak or chicken leg quarter) the Whiskey Barrel Speleobox Bonfire, and the Fall Mississippi Valley Ozark Region meeting!

Beginner Caving Workshops will be offered Friday and Saturday. If you have someone who has shown an interest in caving this is the time to kick start their caving career by inviting them to Fall MVOR 2015. Please contact Rick Small at 314.603.2977.
